YS Jagan - Chandrababu-NaiduTelangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao and his Andhra Pradesh counterpart YS Jagan Mohan Reddy are up in arms over the irrigation projects going on in the state. “We called AP Government heads, treated them with Lunch, and elaborately talked to them. But Andhra Pradesh Government is intentionally trying to go for controversies,” KCR said in a Review Meeting.

Both the Governments are gearing up for a Legal Battle. However, one man already foresaw this and warned the Jagan Government. It is none other than Chandrababu Naidu who warned Jagan not to be in a hurry with respect to Water issue and pointed out how the water plans of KCR and Jagan are detrimental to Andhra Pradesh’s interest.

Back then, CM Jagan and his MLAs mocked Naidu in the house. “KCR has shown magnanimity by coming up with the proposal to pump Godavari water to Srisailam in Krishna basin through Telangana. You (Chandrababu Naidu) never maintained good relations with neighboring states. I am maintaining healthy relations in the larger interests of the state,” the Chief Minister said.

Jagan attended the inauguration of the Kaleshwaram Project and is complaining against the same project now. But that will haunt him all through his political career. Going by what is going on between both the Telugu States, Naidu’s experience seems to have worked more than Jagan’s optimism or anything else.
