High court of andhra pradesh and TelanganaYS Jagan Mohan Reddy owned Sakshi News Channel had reached out to Hyderabad High Court regarding the ban of its live transmission in some districts of Andhra Pradesh. The Channel alleged that government pressurizing the MSOs stopped the telecast. AP Home department Chief Secretary, DGP, Union Information Secretary, Telecom Regulatory, district collectors and MSOs are made the part of the case.

Editorial Director, K.Rama Chandra Murthy filed this petition on the behave of the channel and asked the court to immediately intervene and make sure the telecast of Sakshi is resumed in the state. They also alleged that AP Home department Chief Secretary and DGP are acting against the spirit of the constitution in this issue.

Government stopped the transmission of the channel as it is trying to provoke caste tensions in the state using Mudhragada Deeksha. Legal experts say government will take this stance in the court and the court may at most allow the transmission if the channel assures that it will behave responsibly.
