Will Forgotten Leader Resurrect Congress in AP?

Congress Party is going under severe turbulence with back to back defeats. The party seems to be running out of ideas at this hour of crisis. It looks like they have no idea about how to resurrect the party in Andhra Pradesh which is a very productive state for it once.

PCC President Raghuveera Reddy resigned to the party even before the election results indicating the plight of the party. The party could not manage one decent face in these six months and is finally banking on Kiran Kumar Reddy who is almost in an exile ever since the State Bifurcation.

Kiran Kumar Reddy who is the last Chief Minister of United Andhra Pradesh played his role in the rout of Congress Party. He defied the party and floated his own party. After losing the election, he stayed away from Politics and came back to Congress just before the recent elections.

However, he did not have the courage to contest the elections. Congress in-charge of Oommen Chandy proposed his name. We are told that Sonia Gandhi talked to him on the phone and he immediately flew to Delhi. His appointment will be official at any time now.
