JanaSena Pawan Kalyan - BJP Somu VeerrajuAndhra Pradesh will see its first election on party symbols with Municipal Elections in March. Tirupati By-election will also happen very soon and the notification will be out in a week or so. These Elections will be a test to the BJP and Janasena coalition in Andhra Pradesh.

BJP saved itself from Special Status issue appears to have taken back seat temporarily. But then out of no where, Vishakapatnam Steel Plant Privatization issue cropped up and is troubling the Saffron Party. The middle class and upper middle class is also very angry with the rising fuel prices.

The prices of the essential commodities have also gone up due to the increase in petrol and diesel prices. On the other hand, the prices of domestic gas cylinders are going up while the Central Government is silently trying to get rid of the subsidy given on them.

All this will have an impact on BJP’s electoral prospects and Janasena will also have to share the public ire due to the alliance. The BJP high command is not ready even to listen to the state BJP unit on privatization. So, Janasena is also worried. We will have to see if this alliance will stand the test of time.
