BSNL, in collaboration with Quad Gen and Reliance Jio is providing free Wi-Fi facilities are being provided at RK Beach, Vuda Park and Kailasagiri in Vishakapatnam on a pilot basis. These Free Wi-Fi zones have become very popular since the websites and videos were found opening at high speed without buffering.
Many youth particularly students are using the free Wi-Fi connection extensivelt for both entertainment and education purpose. Many of them are spending a good amount of time at the Wi-Fi zones rather at their regular hangout places. Many of them are asking the time restriction should be extended to one hour from 30 minutes.
Students are thronging these areas especially in the night too as traffic flow over Wi-Fi network remains very less. These Wi-Fi hot spots are very popular since they do not restrict any website for any reason. The services are also being great help to tourist visiting the city.
