Why Should Kapu Community Trust YS JaganKapu Reservations issue is back again to the front pages with Mudragada Padmanabham threatening the government with Chalo Amaravati. The State Government has done everything that is needed to foil it and ensured that the walkathon did not happen as Mudragada did not seek the government permission.

On the other side, TDP supporters are keen on knowing how Chandrababu will proceed on this issue as it will be a key issue in the 2019 elections. YSR Congress is supporting Mudragada behind the scenes to unsettle the state government but is also clueless about the issue.

Jagan who announced Nava Ratnas in the recently held Plenary did not commit on Kapu Reservations. That leaves the gates still open for TDP to move the issue and please the community which forms a major chunk of the electorate in Andhra Pradesh.

On the other side, Manjunadha Commission appointed to look into the issue is yet to submit its final recommendations to the government. The final report is expected in 3-4 months. It has to be seen if the issue is settled by the end of this year itself.
