Leaving all that talk of Andhrolla Palana aside, Telangana Caretaker Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhara Rao suddenly changed his tone and started appeasing Settlers from Andhra Pradesh. The TRS president described AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu as a ‘shani’ who could only bring ill-luck to people of AP, who had comfortably been living in Telangana for decades.
“What business does Naidu have to contest polls in Telangana?” he asked. KCR reiterated those from AP and living in Telangana faced no problems whatsoever in the last four-and-half years. “Why do they have to think of themselves as people from Andhra. They are in Telangana. Be a proud Hyderabadi. Don’t brand yourself as Andhraite,” he said.
“KCR is with you, don’t worry. It is Naidu who is trying to unnecessarily drive a wedge among people,” he said. But then, there is a backlash on this ‘Don’t brand yourself as Andhraite’ comment in the social media as people are questioning why they have to leave their identity when KCR flaunts his Telangana card wherever he goes in the country.
