Several days ago, it was announced that the appointed day of Telangana state is June 2nd. It was only then Andhra Pradesh bifurcation will come in to effect. Telangana Rashtra Samiti and other stake holders have remained silent over the date for a long time but TRS is raising hue about the date since the last few days. The results of the Assembly and Parliament elections will be out on May 16th.
As the appointed date is on June 2nd, President’s rule will continue in both the states and Chief Ministers of both the state will only swear in after June 2nd. It means that TRS will have to protect its MLAs till June 2nd. There are chances that Telangana may be heading towards hung or Congress getting significant numbers in the region. Congress is already in talks with MIM,CPI and YSRCP for support. It may even resort to poaching of TRS MLAs to form the first government in Telangana. So, TRS is trying through all means to push the appointed date to May 17th.
