Why-is-Jagan-So-Mean-About-AmaravatiReports are emerging that Andhra Pradesh Government is in advance talks to purchase a multi-storeyed building at Tadepalli in the Kolkata-Chennai national highway to accommodate government offices. The building located right on the NH close to the Kakakadurga Varadhi on River Krishna.

While the building owner is seeking 800 Crore, the government is okay to pay 700 Crore. Negotiations are going on. The government wants to accommodate at least seven government offices, most of them are the offices of the Heads of Departments (HoDs) in this building.

These offices are relocated from Hyderabad to various private buildings in Vijayawada, Gollapudi, Kanuru, and Ibrahimpatnam after the State Bifurcation. This is a shocking decision because the government can easily complete any of the existing buildings in Amaravati and use that for this purpose but chose to purchase another building.

Continuing the construction of existing buildings will mean that continuing the legacy of Chandrababu Naidu. Also, that would send a signal that Jagan is keen on continuing Amaravati as the capital. By not caring for the existing buildings, Jagan wants status-quo on Amaravathi where all the projects are brought to a standstill ever since the new government came into force.
