Congress Senior Leaders in Telangana are suddenly beelining to BJP. DK Aruna has joined the Party and is contesting for Mahabubnagar Parliament as BJP Candidate. And today, Former MLC, Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy joined the Saffron Party in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Ponguleti’s took the decision two days after his term as a member of the Council came to an end. This came as a shock for the party which is already reeling under a series of desertions. As many as 10 MLAs of the party have defected to the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) this month.
BJP is in shambles in Telangana but these leaders are still opting for the party as they feel BJP will come to Power at the Center. They may be given important positions in the party and may also get a chance to enter the Central Cabinet in Telangana Quota after the upcoming elections.
