why-andhra-pradesh-has-to-pay-salaries-of-telangana-employeesSupreme Court had made serious comments over a case of Hyderabad High Court instructing to pay salaries of 1200 Electricity employees in the ratio of 58 and 42. These Employees were relieved by the Telangana Genco alleging that they have AP nativity. Later the employees went to the high court and the court instructed that they should continue with Telangana Genco and AP should pay 58% of their salaries.

Andhra Pradesh government had appealed this in Supreme Court. The Apex court termed it absolutely ridiculous to ask AP to pay salaries for the employees working for Telangana. Supreme Court had given time till April 4th to resolve. If they do not, the court announced that it will interfere and do what is necessary.

The court even went on to ask if Tamil Nadu is paying for the salaries of Karnataka employees. This is the second instance on the same day (Friday), Supreme Court found fault with an order of Hyderabad High Court. It is known that Supreme court had given a right to AP on the assets of all the institutions in Schedule 9 and 10 of AP Reorganization Act according to population ratio.
