Whom-Will-BJP-Favour---YS-Jagan-or-Chandrababu-NaiduThe Union Government which is sitting on the demand of Constituencies in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for the last five years has finally moved the file. The Election Commission pointed out that there are some mistakes in the note sent by the Home Ministry in April and asked the ministry to send a fresh note.

The Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act mandates to increase the existing Assembly Seats in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to 225 and 153 respectively. The last constituencies reorganization happened during YSR’s regime. Since Congress is in power both in the State and the Center, the reorganization happened as per the convenience of Congress.

Several strongholds of TDP were divided between two or three constituencies to favor Congress. Chandrababu tried his level best to ensure that the reorganization happened when TDP is in NDA but BJP did not help. Now, BJP is the sworn enemy of TDP and at the same time is not in the mood to entertain Jagan as well.

In the wake of this, both Chandrababu Naidu and Jagan will be anxious to see how the constituencies will change. BJP has no stakes whatsoever in AP to make use of this reorganization. KCR in Telangana will also be at the mercy of the center after BJP made inroads in the state in the recent General Elections.
