Who Stopped Jagan from Becoming CM in 2009YS Jagan Mohan Reddy wanted to become the Chief Minister in the place of his father, YS Rajasekhara Reddy in 2009 after the latter demised in a chopper clash. But then, the Congress high command did not agree for that and Jagan started a new political party.

TRS Leader and former Congress MP, Manda Jagannadh in an interview revealed that it was Senior Congress Leader Motilal Vora who opposed appointing Jagan as Chief Minister and ensured that his elevation did not happen by influencing Sonia Gandhi.

“He is a small kid and yet to have political experience. CM Chair is not a toy to be given when asked,” Motilal Vora said to a team of AP Congress leaders who went to him recommending Jagan. Manda Jagannadham is one of the team members.
