The name of YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy was removed from the list of vice-chairmen of the Rajya Sabha panel. On the 5th of this month, the Rajya Sabha released the list of panel vice-chairmen with a total of 8 names.
V. Vijayasai Reddy’s name is alongside the names of the seven others. Vijayasai Reddy also tweeted on the same day attaching the list, expressing sincere thanks to Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhad for providing this opportunity.
He stated that he wished all the members’ good luck and promised to provide full cooperation in the management of the house proceedings.
But at 2.43 pm on Wednesday, the new chairman Jagdeep Dhankhad said that the list of vice-chairmen of the panel has been renewed and only seven names were read out. Vijayasai Reddy’s name did not come from his mouth.
The Rajya Sabha records registered on Wednesday also contained only the names of those seven people. Similarly, in the notice sent by the Rajya Sabha Secretariat on the 5th inviting the members to the BAC, Vijayasai Reddy’s name did not appear in the list of vice-chairmen of the panel, except for seven names.
Vijayasai Reddy is mentioned only as a member of BAC. His name was also not on the list on the Rajya Sabha website updated on Wednesday night.
