Virat Kohli - RetirementThe other day, Team India Captain Virat Kohli has announced his decision to step down as T20 captain after the 2021 World Cup. He will continue to lead the team in ODIs and Tests. Ever since the announcement has come, there are speculations on social media about who is behind this decision.

There are speculations that BCCI has forced him to make this decision to make way for Rohit Sharma. There are people who accuse Coach Ravi Shastri and some even blamed retired MS Dhoni as well. But then, sources say that it is Kohli’s own decision to decrease the workload.

“Kohli is a World-Class Batsman. But his performance has definitely suffered due to the pressure of captaincy. This decision has been taken in his quest to be the world’s No.1 batsman again. If the decision works, we will see a new beginning of Kohli as a batsman,” Cricket experts say.

The last time Virat scored an international century was in November 2019, in the day and night Test vs Bangladesh in Kolkata. Since then, he is clearly seen struggling.
