Bail petitions related to the murder case of former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy are being heard in the high court.
The counsel representing Devireddy Shivashankar Reddy, Umashankar Reddy, and Sunil Yadav sought bail for the petitioners.
The CBI, which allege a conspiracy angle in the Viveka murder case, said that giving bail to the accused would affect the witnesses.
The High Court questioned the CBI on when the probe would be completed, while the CBI counsel said it would ask the investigating officers and submit the details.
The High Court adjourned the next hearing to the coming Thursday.
Viveka’s daughter Dr. Sunitha Reddy has impleaded in the bail petitions in the high court. She has been fighting the case herself ever since Jagan Mohan Reddy came to power.
She has alleged that the state government is intentionally slowing down the case investigation and is protecting those involved in the case.
