Telangana IT Minister K Taraka Ramarao’s comments about Andhra Pradesh’s plight in Jagan Mohan Reddy’s rule has come under severe criticism.
YSR Congress was not expecting this and struggled to defend. They could not abuse KTR and face problems in Hyderabad and at the same time could not give political advantage to TDP.
YSR Congress social media teams were deployed to handle the situation. They tried to invoke Andhra Pride on TDP saying that the party is enjoying when the state is insulted by other state minister.
But this seems to be a poor strategy. People are seen ridiculing them how Jagan took every bit of support of TRS government before 2019 elections to defeat Chandrababu.
We have heard stories of about some TDP candidates were threatened about their assets in Hyderabad and did not campaign hard. The flow of Money from Hyderabad is also cut.
An outsider involving and influencing a state election is an epitome of insult to the so-called Pride. The remaining incidents are too small to invoke about Andhra Pride.
YSR Congress quickly realized it and pleaded KTR to put an end to this issue. KTR regretted hurting YSR Congress leaders but did not withdrew his comments.
