KCR-YS JaganBoth the Chief Ministers of the Telugu States, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, and K Chandrasekhar Rao have sat together with a little while ago in Pragathi Bhavan. This is the Sixth meeting of the Chief Minister since the elections but is the first official meeting between both of them after they decided to resolve the contentious issues amicably through dialogue.

The First one is resolving the Water Disputes, the second is diverting Godavari water to Srisailam, the third is the bifurcation of Power Utilities and Employees, the fourth is the division of assets of Section 9 and 10 institutions, the last one, the fifth in the agenda is Andhra Bhavan Bifurcation.

The meeting will continue tomorrow as well. Andhra Pradesh Government is also keen on discussing the highway between Amaravati and Hyderabad which is around 10000 Crore worth. Telangana Government is seeking a dry port in Andhra Pradesh and is also likely to keep some proposals about the same.

Both the CMs are keen on jointly funding the Godavari to Srisailam Scheme and Amaravati – Hyderabad Highway. Many of the contentious issues did not get resolved due to the animosities between KCR and Chandrababu previously. Also, the Central Government did not try to intervene fearing the prospects of BJP in both the Telugu States.
