The new Secretariat of Telangana, which is currently in the construction stage has witnessed a blemish just before its inauguration.
As per the latest updates, there was a fire accident in the secretariat in the wee hours of 3rd January. It is understood that a fire broke out at the top floors of the under-construction secretariat, where wood works are being done.
At 3 AM, the construction workers identified smoke coming out from the top floors and called for help.
As many as 12 fire engines were rushed in for help and the fire department and police personnel took full control of the premises to prevent further damage. The situation is fully under control now as the fire has been put out.
The personnel is now digging deep to identify the cause of the accident. An official word on the same could be out in the due course.
