Graduates’ MLC Election results have come as a shock to YSR Congress. The result of Uttarandhra’s seat in particular will give nightmares to the party.
TDP is winning the seat by a sensational majority and YSR Congress candidate Sitamraju Sudhakar already left the counting center. This election is a clear mandate against the ‘Vishakapatnam as the capital’ agenda of the YSR Congress.
It is clear that voters of Vishakapatnam have voted for TDP’s Development and Peaceful Vishakapatnam slogan.
Just before the elections, Jagan Mohan Reddy in the Global Investors Summit held in Vizag announced shifting to Port City very soon but that had zero impact on the voters.
YV Subba Reddy camped in Vishakapatnam and extensively campaigned for the candidate.
The ruling party leaders were so over-confident that they even announced the election as a referendum for three capitals.
And in the end, it will backfire big time. There are speculations that Jagan will go to elections with ‘Three Capitals’ as the agenda. But will have to rethink the strategy now.
Before doing anything, Jagan will need a break to digest this shock as he is not expecting this after being lost in the ‘Why Not 175?’ dream.
