Visakhapatnam Gas Leakage FIR Has No Mention About LG Polymers? A report in Indian Express raises doubts about the State Government helping the LG Polymers company in Vishakapatnam in the Gas Leakage case. The FIR registered on this issue reveals shocking facts about how the case is being watered in favor of the South Korean Company.

The FIR did not mention anything about Styrene Gas that is leaked. The Police just mentioned that “some smoke came out” of the factory, that there was a “bad smell” and it was this smell that endangered life. This is despite the fact that Styrene’s presence was confirmed by the Police even before the FIR.

The FIR also mentioned the death of five persons even though ten had already been confirmed dead by the time the FIR was filed. The biggest thing is that the FIR also does not name anyone from the company. Twelve people have lost their lives in this leakage and there is no accountability whatsoever.

There are allegations that the State Government tried to silence the issue by giving hefty compensation to the victims.
