chandrababu naidu tirupati vip dharshanAndhra Pradesh government seem to have put hold on the scrapping the VIP Break Darshan at Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam. The system is increasingly making it difficult to accommodate commoners for the darshan as VIPs and their men with recommendation letters storm the temple. Endowments Minister Manikyala Rao tried his level best to get the system abolished but only to face dissent from several MLAs and officials but also his own colleagues in the state cabinet.

Following the growing pressure from all quarters, Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is learnt to have put the issue of scrapping it on hold for now. The Temple currently is allowing VIP darshan only when the protocol members are present in darshan on festival days.

The government may extend this to all the days in future if it can not scrap the entire VIP Darshan. Each VIP pass can provide darshan only for 6 persons, around 12 to 15 people crowd in for darshan on one VIP pass.
