Vijayashanti was also one of the closest aides of Jayalalithaa and expressed her anguish on the demise of her beloved Amma. Talking to the reporter in a TV interview, she supported the thought of Party to make Sasikala the general Secretary of the party. Vijayashanti is seen been backing up Sasikala throughout the interview.
When asked about the questions that have been raising about Sasikala with her family staying in Poes Garden yet after the demise of Jayalalithaa and her level of involvement in Jaya’s matters till the funeral, Vijayashanti said that she had a very good relationship with Amma and never heard from amma saying anything negative about Sasikala. So all these talks are just the regular political stunts that opposition is playing to split AIADMK party apart by pulling Sasikala out.
Responding to the query about comments that Sasikala has planned all this to take Amma’s place in party, Vijayashanthi said that she has met Sasikala and saw how upset Chinnamma looked due the demise of Amma and such a good person never would do anything bad to Jaya and that Amma wouldn’t have kept Sasikala so close to herself if she wasn’t comfortable with her.
Supporting the Party’s decision to make Sasikala the General secretary, Vijayashanti also aided Sasikala to be appointed as CM if that is what party members decide as there is no harm or offense in it. Looks like, Sasilkala got yet another score in her account of becoming the leader of Party.
