YSRCP-Vijaysai-Reddy-Disha-ActThe government of Andhra Pradesh had previously proposed to impose “Disha act” in the state, which would expedite the trial to 14 working days in cases of heinous crimes against women where evidence is conclusive.

But due to legal complications, the Disha Act bill proposed by the state government was not approved by the central government.

Now, YCP senior leader Vijayasai Reddy has tweeted in the context of the recent gruesome murder of Shraddha Walker, who was murdered by her boyfriend, and her body was cut in 35 pieces.

“The gruesome murder of Shraddha Walker in Delhi exposes the lack of fear of consequences in the culprit. We need to have a National Law like the DISHA Act in AP to expedite the trial to 14 working days in cases of heinous crimes against women where evidence is conclusive.” Vijayasai Reddy tweeted.

Now, netizens have a straight question to Vijayasai. “The Disha act that you(Vijayasai) mentioned is not in effect in AP itself. Aren’t you aware that the center still hasn’t approved the bill? You’re are asking to impose a national law based on something that isn’t even existent in AP” a netizen commented on Vijayasai’s tweet.
