Vijay - MallyaVijay Mallya who is the Prime Accused in Kingfisher Airlines Loan Default Case released a Public Statement in which he complains of politicians and the media accusing him of having stolen and run away with Rs 9,000 crores that were loaned to Kingfisher Airlines despite trying to settle the issue.

“I respectfully say that I have made and continue to make every effort, in good faith to settle with the Public Sector Banks. If Politically motivated extraneous factors interfere, there is nothing that I can do,” Vijay Mallya said in the statement.

He also released a couple of letters he wrote to the Prime Minister and the Finance Minister regarding the same but said there is no response from him. He also revealed how he tried to pay a part of salaries to the employees but could not do that because of the court cases. Mallya had fled India on March 2, 2016.
