Hyderabad Police will have a tough time at the end of August and the whole month of September. They have four important occasions to provide fool proof security – Ganesh festival, Ganesh immersion, Telangana Budget Sessions and Andhra Pradesh Budget. Police department has its apprehensions about providing security at a time for all the four events. The Budget sessions of both the states are likely to begin immediately after Ganesh immersion and are likely to coincide.
Police heads of the city are planning to convene a joint meeting of presiding officers of both the states’ legislatures at the Committee Hall and work out on a schedule to make sure clashing of dates of both the Houses is avoided. Government is planning to request the center for the assistance of CRPF to be more vigilant during the Ganesh festival which is usually the most sensitive time in the city.
