Venkaiah-Naidu-Vijaya-Sai-ReddyThe outgoing Vice-President of India, Venkaiah Naidu had given a gift to YSR Congress MP Vijayasai Reddy. He has been appointed as Rajya Sabha Panel Vice-Chairman.

In the absence of the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, the members of this panel take turns in managing the House.

Rajya Sabha Chairman Venkaiah Naidu revised the list of vice chairmen of the panel.

Vijayasai Reddy and BJP member Indubala Goswami from Himachal Pradesh have been included in this. Along with them, Assam MP Bhuneshwar Kalita, Karnataka Congress member L. Hanumanthaiah, DMK member Tiruchi Siva and BJD member Sasmit continued their roles.

NCP member Vandana Chavan and TMC member Sukhendu Shekhar Roy were left out this time.

It is interesting to note that political circles are abuzz that it was YSR Congress that stalled Venkaiah’s second term by pressuring the BJP leadership.

YSR Congress’s support is crucial for the victory of the BJP’s candidate in the President and Vice-President elections.

Even then, Venkaiah Naidu had given a gift to Vijayasai Reddy.
