The Assembly building in Velagapudi Interim Secretariat which was supposed to be complete by December is likely to miss the deadline. Going by the progress, the Assembly may take Two to Two and half months time more. As of now, the construction is nearing the completion.
Interior works are yet to begin. Furniture and Sound System are to be setup. Interior work designs are delayed very much and also changes were made several times. As a result, the Winter session of Assembly planned here may not happen and so the session may happen in Hyderabad itself.
The Sound System used in Assembly and Council in Velagapudi are of Ultra Modern facilities. They will catch sound even if the member speaking is not facing it. Speaker, Chief Minister, Ministers, Opposition Leaders and others will have their offices on the first floor of the Assembly building.
