unknown people destroys Vangaveeti Ranga statueViolence spurred after statue of Vangaveeti Ranga has been demolished by unknown people in Nizampet village of Machilipatnam city. The statue was beheaded in late night hours of Saturday and an enquiry in this regard already been started.

Police deployed dog squads to identify miscreants but in vain. This caused eruption of several protests in various parts of city. Vangaveeti Ranga’s son Radha made a visit to the place and warned that he won’t spare the perpetrators and appealed to people from refraining from violent acts. Andhra Pradesh minister Kollu Ravindra paid visit to the site and assured to book the culprits.

Kollu Ravindra said that the statue of 27years old has been demolished with the intention of creating scene thus making issue. He assured to install the new statue in place of deceased one. The statue has rare history as it was third statue in the state and first in the Krishna district to install in statue after Ranga’s killing.
