In an utterly tragic event, two Telugu students named Shiva and Uthej from Telangana have drowned to death in the lake of Ozarks.
“Uthej Kunta, 24, and Shiva Kelligari, 25, both are master’s Students went to the lake of Ozarks. This incident took place over there.” a communication read.
One of the men was swimming in the lake when he went beneath the water and did not resurface, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The other man then dove into the water to try and help the man who was struggling.
TANA members Praveen Singarikonda, Sridhar, Kiran, and others have coordinated and offered local help.
Shiva is from Tandur and Uthej is from Warangal. They were studying at Saint Louis university. They have drowned to death and both the bodies have been recovered.
Local funeral home (hedges) is taking care of paperwork. Chicago funeral home is taking care of consulate work and sending it to India. TANA team in touch with both funeral homes to make sure everything will be on track.
The body of 24-year-old Uthej was found on Saturday and the body of 25-year-old Shiva was recovered on Sunday by a dive team.
