USA-Work-Visas-IndiansThe festive season has brought good news for many Indians looking to enter the US through work visas. Finally, US Mission has released over 1 lakh appointments for H&L workers and their families.

Unlike people from other countries, Indians mostly enter the US through work-based visas and there is a huge demand for them at any given point in time. The best part is that thousands of applications have already been booked and wait time for both interview waiver and first-time appointments have been slashed by half.

The USA Mission to India has further said that they will continue to prioritize H&L workers for visa appointments. On a normal day, H visas are highly preferred and are given to skilled foreign workers seeking employment with foreign companies. On the other hand, L visas allow foreign companies to transfer a manager, executive, or person with specialized knowledge to the US.

US Embassy in New Delhi and consulates in Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkatta, and Mumbai have resumed processing in-person B1/ B2 visa appointments starting in September. The new rule applies to travelers applying for F, H-1, H-3, H-4, non-blanket L, M, O, P, Q, and academic J visas.

The media has been full of stories of great resignation in the USA and the country is in dire need of employees, and Indians are becoming the best option as they are hard-working and contribute to the US economy irrespective of the job they do there.
