US Hate Crime Richard Lloyd Sets Indian Origin Met MArt  Store on FireThe American hate crime continues, a 65 year old American tried to burn down an Indian Origin man’s convenience store named Met Mart, by rolling a dumpster set on fire into the store located in Port St. Lucie. Fortunately, there wasn’t much damage to the store as the county fire department arrived the location on time and set the flames down immediately.

Richard Lloyd, the accused was arrested who got surrendered himself putting his arms back upon seeing the police coming. It has been reported that Lloyd confused the store owner to a Muslim and wanted to send the Arabs out of his country which resulted the crime. A few days ago, Lloyd was in the store and sought his favorite orange juice, which the store did not have where he saw the owner and mistook him for a Muslim.

Police said that no such hate crimes are entertained and proper action would be taken on the same. Lloyd is reported to have a history of mental health issues and would be given a mental health evaluation. Lloyd was produced to the court with first-degree charged and been put to jail.
