Congress leaders under Raghuveera Reddy leadership are taking up a 45 km padayatra from Dowleswaram to Polavaram from today to 10th and will observe a Satyagraha at Polavaram site on the last Day demanding that the Project should be completed with the Central Government funds and adequate compensation should be given to the displaced families.
Interestingly, former MPs and suspended Congress Senior Leaders – Undavalli Arun Kumar and Harsha Kumar made their appearance at the Public Meeting and expressed their solidarity to the Maha Padayatra taken up by Congress.
They were suspended from Congress for their dissent during the state bifurcation. They are operating independently since then and with their latest appearance speculations are on if they are contemplating a comeback to the Grand Old Party.
