MS-DhoniThe micro-blogging site, Twitter has removed the Blue Tick accorded to former Indian Cricket Capital, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Blue Tick is given to the verified accounts on Twitter which are notable in government, news, entertainment, or another designated category.

While Twitter is yet to make a statement about why it has happened, we think it is because the account has been inactive for a very long time. Dhoni has posted his last tweet in January this year which means almost seven months ago.

In all probability, Twitter may restore the Blue Tick once again but it has irked the fans of the legendary cricketer who are after the social media giant.

Dhoni retired from Test Cricket in 2014. He has played 350 ODIs and 98 T20Is. In 350 ODIs, Dhoni has scored 10773 runs at an average of 50.57. He has 10 centuries and 73 fifties to his name. Dhoni has amassed 1617 runs in 98 T20Is at an average of 37.60, including two half-centuries.

He is one of the most successful Captains ever for India. India won three ICC Champions Trophy titles with him at the helm in 2010, 2013, and 2014. He also led India to the Number One position in Tests between December 2009 and June 2011. However, he still plays for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL.
