KCR-orders-power-generationTelangana State seem to be defying the orders of Telangana River Management Board orders. It is known that the board allowed Telangana only to use 3 TMCs of water for Power production till November 2nd. Telangana had exhausted this limit by 6 AM on November 2nd but continued to generate power even after that. According to the reports emerging from Srisailam, the project engineer has got no orders to stop the power generation.

500 MW power is being generated from 4 turbines in the project. Andhra Pradesh government will be complaining about the violation to board any time today. On the other side, Telangana government is planning to move to the Apex Council constituted under the State Reorganization Act regarding the same.

The Council is headed by Union Water Resources Ministers and has Chief Ministers of both States as members. They are even toying the idea of going to Courts after AP launches official complaint. As an alternative plan, if the board creates any hurdles to power in Srisailam, Telangana is planning to compensate it by increasing power production in Nagarjunasagar project.
