There are rumors that TDP Supremo and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu may be contesting from Nandhyal in the next elections where TDP won with bumper majority recently. They say this is to influence the party’s prospects in Kurnool district.
But then, sources close to M9News in TDP tells us that there is no such idea. “These are speculations. Chandrababu Naidu will stick to Kuppam as always and Lokesh will possibly contest from Coastal Andhra,” the source said.
Political experts also opined that it can not be true. “Nandhyal is a tough seat for TDP always with a majority belonging to the social groups supporting YSR Congress. Even though TDP won the seat comfortably, Naidu will not take such risk, they said”.
