It is quite common for Ruling MLAs and MPs to have officials favourable to them posted in their constituencies and transfer unfavourable or strict ones to other places. It is quite common exercise when a new government comes in place. The same is happening now in Telangana state.
TRS MLAs reportedly are flooding the Chief Minister’s office with their numerous transfer requests. The chief minister is pressurized so much that he had to transfer some officials against the rules despite the fact that some of the officials have been in their posts for less than a year.
KCR was first rigid in not obliging to their requests but finally budged. He issued directions to CMO officials to take action on all such requests. However the chief minister reportedly told his men that there will not be such opportunity further at least up to two years. But several honest officials have to face the music for their sincerity due to this transfer. Most of them were posted in irrelevant positions and in far flung places.
