The entire World witnessed the bonhomie of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao in the latter’s maiden visit to the newest state of the country. There are speculations about a possible alliance between both the parties very soon and media is abuzz with such news following the meeting in Gajwel.
Normally alliance between two parties may not be difficult when both the sides are in favourable terms but then it is a different case with TRS and BJP. If the Saffron Party chose TRS in Telangana, doors will be automatically closed for it in Andhra Pradesh as TDP and TRS do not see eye to eye for various other reasons.
Andhra People will not like the relations of TDP with TRS which forced the state bifurcation and then TRS wants the ‘Andhrolla Party’ tag for TDP (TS) to kill the party in the state and to keep the sentiment dose running. But sources close to BJP say that TRS and the saffron party are already in an understanding over a possible alliance.
“We will immediately join NDA government if TDP quits due to Special Status issue. If TDP chooses to remain with NDA which is at this point looking difficult, TRS will maintain good terms with BJP for now and support NDA if needed after 2019 elections. In case, BJP can not win the majority in 2019, they can not ignore us”, a TRS Senior Leader on anonymity said.
