Transstroy which is the main contractor of the Polavaram Project is almost exiting the Project now. Some crucial works of the project are already given to Navayuga and now some more works are being given to the company.
With that, Transstroy will become nominal in this project. Navayuga already got 2907 Crore works and another 1239 Crore works will be given to the company now. With that, 4146 Crore works of the total 5438 Crore Main Dam works will be with Navayuga.
The target is to complete the dam works by May 2019. Since Transttroy does not have the technical and financial ability to execute the project, the state government is executing the project by bringing in sub-contractors.
