JaganThe IT Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Gudivada Amarnath is often in focus. While Telangana’s IT Minister, K Taraka Ramarao is busy with investments, Amar is only confined to making political comments on opponents and indulging in caste-based discussions and debates about Pawan Kalyan and Hari Rama Jogaiah.

In fact, Jagan delegated Amar only to criticize Pawan Kalyan under his policy to use Kapu Ministers to abuse Pawan Kalyan who hails from the same community.

But for a change, Amar is doing some productive work for the first time in his career. He is seen going to industrialists like Anand Mahindra, Natarajan Chandrasekaran, Mukesh Ambani, and others to invite them to the Global Investment Summit in Visakhapatnam on March 3-4, 2023.

Forget if the Government is sincere about the Summit or if the Summit will really bring the investments, but the IT minister for the first time is seen doing work he ought to do.

Previously, when Chandrababu Naidu or when Telangana’s IT Minister KTR now meets such industrialists, they used to post pictures on social media and say some good words about them and the state.

They are meeting the minister to honor the protocol and that’s it about it.

Neither the policies of the Jagan Government nor the work of the IT minister seems to have impressed the industrialist, they are silent about Amar. So, the minister himself is posting pictures of his meetings on his Twitter account.

They may be aware of how the Government drove away investors just because they came during Chandrababu Naidu’s time. They may be aware of how companies like Kia Motors are troubled. Maybe they came to know how a ruling party MLA harrassed Jockey for kickbacks etc.

In such a case we wonder if the Summit will bring any ‘real’ investments to the state even if these industrialists attend as a formality.

It is sad but when you have an Investors’ Summit just for the sake of elections and just before the elections, these things are bound to happen.

It is easy to ruin investors’ faith but very difficult to earn it.
