Telugu Governments are always known to be friendly with the Telugu film industry. Except for a brief period during the start of his tenure, KCR Government in Telangana is also nice with Tollywood. But then, everything has changed in Jagan Mohan Reddy’s rule.
Right from the top producers to the cinema owners, everyone is being tormented in one name or the other. Even after going to court, there is no respite. Government’s moves when Pushpa is releasing clearly show that the former is hellbent on destroying the movie.
However, a producer speaking to Mirchi9.com says the industry will not let this go. “We may be a small industry but very influential. We will wait for our time to take revenge. We were neutral in the 2019 elections and that has helped Jagan. But 2024 is going to be different,” the producer said.
“Maybe 2019 will be the most-polarized election as far as TFI is concerned. Mind you the industry does not have any interest in politics but we are forced to take sides now,” the producer added. But the tragedy is 2024 is still so long to go.
