Telugu Desam Party which has undermined the effect of Social Media while in Power, realized its importance very late. By that time, it realized the party is already in Opposition. But the party’s followers are trying their level best to pin down Jagan Government in the social media.
They are largely successful in trending on all major issues. The Ruling Party has tried its level best to rein them by registering cases. But as they know, most such cases barely stand the legal scrutiny. At this juncture, YSR Congress resorted to its old ways to counter them.
The other day, the state Government deposited the first installment of the YSR Rythu Bharosa Scheme and they have unleashed a Paid Campaign on Twitter to keep the topic trending in Twitter. IPAC created accounts and Bots were seen trending YSR Rythu Bharosa and were thanking Jagan for that.
As we can see most of these accounts are from West Bengal and Chandigarh. Even the names of the accounts reveal that they are of the other states. A look at their timeless, we can clearly see them campaigning in West Bengal, Delhi, Punjab elections previously where I-PAC has worked.
