Tipplers Pay 25% Extra, AP To Pay Even More Liquor Shops in Andhra Pradesh have started opening from today and probably, there can not be a bigger mistake than that. Andhra Pradesh Government has hiked the prices by 25% saying that it would discourage the Tipplers but that is not the case going by the crowds at the wine shops.

There are serpentine queues and some of them are for more than One Kilometer at many places. Social Distancing goes for a toss and people are rarely seen with masks. As if that is not enough, Tipplers from neighboring states are sneaking into Andhra Pradesh to have their peg.

Governments in Telangana and Tamil Nadu have shut their wine shops. People from Bhadrachalam are getting to the shops of East Godavari and people from Tamil Nadu are going to Nagari of Chittoor districts. The photos and videos of various places circulating in the social media paint a very dangerous picture.

In all probability, the state will pay a hefty price for opening the liquor business. Let us pray that should not happen. According to the medical bulletin released this morning, there are 67 new cases in the past 24 hours and that takes the total cases to 1,650.
