Principal Opposition Telugu Desam Party staged protests across the state over increasing Petrol, Diesel, and LPG prices. Petrol and Diesel prices are the highest in Andhra Pradesh when compared to any other state in the country due to high state taxes.
But then, YSR Congress Thadikonda MLA, Sridevi says it’s Chandrababu, not Jagan who is the reason for the prices of Petrol and Diesel in Andhra Pradesh. “The then Chandrababu Naidu government levied Four Rupees Tax without any reason. That is still burning holes in the people’s pockets,” she said.
It looks like this YSR Congress MLA thinks Chandrababu Naidu is still the Chief Minister. Petrol price per liter in Andhra Pradesh is inching towards 110 Rupees while Diesel Price per liter is close to 99 Rupees. These types of excuses will barely help the party in power. Forget about helping, it will only backfire.
It can be noted that the neighboring Tamil Nadu Government cut down state taxes on Petrol and Diesel by Rupees three per liter.
