Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is going to reshuffle his cabinet for the first time after coming to power. It will be a major rejig as Jagan is going to face the election with this team.
Buggana Rajendranath Reddy, the current finance minister may be continued, sources say.
“Currently the state needs a person with the knowledge to effectively manage the finance department. There is talk that the current Finance Minister Buggama may continue as he is aware of the financial situation since the formation of the government, the debts incurred and how to raise funds from the Center,” a source told.
With just two years to go for the election, Jagan may not risk a newcomer coming in and taking time to understand the finances of the state. In such a condition, the berth may be reserved to Buggana.
Anam Ram Narayana Reddy has experience in managing finance ministry in the past. But then, he has been making critical comments about the party on various occasions which may complicate things for him.
