They Wept More for Sridevi, Making Andhra Pradesh to WeepPolitical leaders can get as bizarre as possible to defend themselves and the actions of their party. When there was a debate going on about the step-motherly treatment meted out to the Southern India States by the Centre, BJP member, and spokesperson Narendra Taneja made a bizarre comment.

He made an insensitive remark that North India wept more for Sridevi when she passed away compared to South India, from where she belongs. What kind of argument is this? Do they consider giving a befitting tribute to an actress par-excellence who was a pan-Indian actor was like a privilege to a South Indian? Will anyone think of her origin, when a star of her stature passes away?

What does this remark has got to do with regard to the discrimination and allocation of funds to the Southern States? People’s money is distributed unevenly and the Southern States can clearly see the discrimination and hence, the growing debate.

Looks like, the BJP leader doesn’t even know what to talk and what not to when debating about money matters. This comment came when AP is in pain for the way Narendra Modi cheated and went back on his promises to a State which doesn’t have funds.
