Andhra Pradesh Governor, Biswabhusan Harichandan‘s tenure is nearing completion. There are reports that he is unlikely to get an extension and the State may see another Governor taking his place.
After giving a complete new look to the Union Government, there will be some changes in various state units where BJP is ruling. There are some media reports that BJP high command is contemplating to send Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa as the Governor.
There are demands in Karnataka BJP to change Yeddy. The BJP High command has accommodated a follower of Yeddy in the Union Cabinet as well. He will be sent to Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka will see a new Chief Minister.
If these rumors materialize, this will be the first time Andhra Pradesh will see an active politician as Governor.
