Panchayats and sarpanches have become dummies in Jagan Government. Most of their powers are usurped in the name of Village Secretariats and the government is breaking their backs further by diverting their funds.
Even the funds of the Central Government are being diverted leaving the Panchayats high and dry. YSR Congress has won most Panchayats in the state even then, the neglect continues.
Due to this, a sarpanch of Katraparru village has become a sweeper.
Village Sarpanch Shankar has turned into a Sanitation Worker, thanks to the policies of Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The state government has diverted all the panchayat funds. There is a situation where the sarpanch is taking loans for the panchayat management expenses.
In this process, the sarpanch became a sanitation worker as he could not pay the workers while people are questioning him about everything.
Sarpanch Shankar is going from house to house and started collecting garbage in the village.
Shankar says the government should give funds at least for sanitation purposes if not development works.
