A few media reports suggest that Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi is contemplating to come back to TDP. Vamsi is elected from TDP in 2019 elections and switched to YSR Congress after the election. He hurled choicest abuses on the party high command after that.
But then, there is a lot of friction in the constituency with the cadre and local incharge, Yarlagadda Venkat Rao not co-operating with the MLA. After many humiliations, Vamsi is considering to go back to TDP, Reports say.
It does not look believable when we hear someone leaving the Ruling party with elections three years away. But then if it happens, it will be interesting to see how Chandrababu Naidu will react. TDP fans are very upset with Vamsi and they are not ready to welcome him even though it will get lot of political mileage.
But that can be really tempting for Chandrababu. But being strong in such scenarios can only send right signals to the defectors. Making defectors Ministers is a huge mistake in the previous term. Naidu should be careful in dealing with such scenarios at least now.
