Sreekanth Digala who passed away in an accident near Princeton Junction in the evening hours when he was hit by an Amtrak train, was 39 years of age. Sreekanth lives in Plainsboro, NJ, and has left behind his wife Suvarchala, and 10-year-old son Aneesh.
Sreekanth was from Piler in Annamayya district, Andhra Pradesh, and was the sole breadwinner of the family. Sadly, he was also the sole person responsible for his 70+-year-old parents and in-laws in India.
He is remembered by family and friends as a loving, caring, hard-working, and free-spirited individual who was full of life. Post his untimely death, local Indian communities & TANA, friends, and family of Sreekanth have been working with the Indian Embassy authorities to figure out how to complete the rituals and perform last rites.
His friends have raised a fundraiser to bail out his family during these unfortunate times. Also, all donations will go towards providing immediate financial support and the son’s education. (Click Here To Donate)
